I need to find homes for my two dogs which are Airdale Terriers. I had to sell my house and moved at the end of december last year. My daughter offered to accommodate me in her home, but unfortunately is unable to take my dogs there is not enough room to have the dogs in this situation.

A member of the community recently spotted two adult dogs at the side of the road. When she stopped and went to investigate, she found that there was somebody with the dogs. He was trying to give them away, saying that he could no longer afford to keep them.

An SPCA Randburg Inspector recently picked up a stray greyhound bitch. She had been running around on the highway, and was extremely thin with a large wound on her back leg. As you can see from the first two photographs, she was terrified at first.

A cat who had been wandering around an office park was brought to SPCA Randburg recently. He had a nasty-looking scratch on his face which extended across his left eye. Because the injury looked quite bad, and the SPCA Randburg staff were expecting a mark to remain on his face, the cat was named “Scar”.

Some weeks ago a stray dog, who had been wandering the streets, was brought in to SPCA Randburg. As with all dogs who come in to them, he was scanned to check for a microchip. Seeing that the dog was chipped, staff telephoned the dog's owners to let them know that he had been found.

Some weeks ago a SPCA Randburg kennel assistant was clearing up the area at the recycling bins. Imagine his surprise when he discovered a female cat feeding her three new-born babies! When Mother Cat was approached, she came across as being very friendly; she went up to the kennel assistant and even allowed him to touch her.

A female Collie cross was brought to SPCA Randburg recently from one of the local vets in the area. She had been found on the road, and it transpired that she had a fractured leg. It is suspected that her injury was the result of a possible car accident.
