In the most spectacular gathering of international ballet stars ever to visit South Africa, a shining line-up of dancers from 10 countries, representing major internationally-acclaimed ballet companies, will grace the Teatro at Montecasino stage for five gala performances only – on 28, 29 and 30 June 2013.
Tsogo Sun Group and M-Net have teamed up again for the second season of MasterChef SA, following the massively successful first season that aired early in 2012 and saw Deena Naidoo win first prize of the right of use of a Montecasino restaurant for two years.
Tickets for Big Top Burlesque’s The Monday Club are now on sale through Computicket . The performances, combined with a three course dining experience, take place from 20 June 2013 through to the end of September at the Blue Feather in Midrand. Big Top Burlesque features a cast of 15 performers including dancers, vocalists and musicians. The show is choreographed by award-winning London West End choreographer Ian Mills whose impressive resumé includes theatre, television, cinema and fashion as well working with such legends as Andrew Lloyd Webber, Annie Lennox and the X Factor show.
Based on the Billy Wilder film, the musical version of Sunset Boulevard, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Christopher Hampton and Don Black, features the hit songs “With One Look”, “As If We Never Said Goodbye” and “The Perfect Year”. Sunset Boulevard won seven Tony Awards in 1995, including Best Musical.

Montecasino and SEFAC, the official Ferrari Owner’s Club in South Africa hosted the club’s annual Ferrari Show Dayin the Montecasino Outdoor Piazza on May 26, 2013 from 10am to 4pm. This was the sixth year Montecasino hosted this event.
The multi-award winning smash Broadway hit musical, Jersey Boys has just over two weeks to go before taking its final curtain call at the Teatro at Montecasino on 9 June 2013 when the show must end its highly successful ten-week Johannesburg season. Thereafter Jersey Boys moves to Artscape, Cape Town where it opens on 19th June. Four Paws recently rescued this poor dog from Diepsloot Township. He had been poisoned, he had very bad pneumonia, he was completely dehydrated and he had a large burn wound on his back. His chances of survival were extremely slim, as he was in such a horrific state.
