After months of planning and hard work the 14 Check Challenge officially kicks of this Sunday July 18, 2010 with their first challenge - The Walkerville MTB classic. A tough 70km mountain bike race that will put the guys to their 1st test.
It is amazing to see how many companies, and members of the public have already pledged their support to the 14 Check Challenge. It is an inspiration to us as challengers, and a great indication of the passion that drives this cause! We are truly blessed and grateful for the support.

You can be part of the challenge – wether you cycle with us, or just a spectator – we need your support!
If you would like to compete in a couple of the events with the challengers we would love to have you join us – here’s how:
• We have had a limited edition supporters cycling kits made that you can purchase for R780, 00. Contact us for orders.
• Go to the Website and have a look through the schedule of challenges and decide which ones you would like to do.
• Contact us and let us know, we will assist with entries and registration.
If you are not that keen on racing but would like to join as a spectator:

Join the challengers for a fun day out with family and friends. Remember to bring everyone you know. The more people we get there, the more exposure for the brands, and the better for our cause!

Challenge Kick Off get together
On Wednesday evening all the challengers got together with their families to enjoy a little relaxing time out. It was a great time for all the Wives, partners and kids to get to know each other before our first challenge. A special mention to the Families of the challengers - wives, partners and children. Without their support and assistance the challenge would not be possible. We love you guys!
A big thank you to Jason and the guys from Ballistic Bikes - the importers of the excellent new cycling brand GHOST. GHOST is sponsoring bikes and equipment with the assistance of West Rand Cycles for all the maintenance needs .We also received some awesome goodies and supplements from HNS health products, thanks guys.
The challenge is once again very thankful to the guys From Ecclesiate Property specialists , Johan , Cary and the guys from Ecclesiate will once again provide a full back up role to the challenge .
Pennyville Update
No update would be complete without an update on the ones that really matter – the kids!
The Pennyville crèche is doing very well. From the financial aid of last years’ challenge, and the great sponsors continuously involved - the crèche and kids have really grown in leaps and bounds!
We managed to purchase and install much needed heaters and deliver foodstuff just before the dreaded cold creeped in. The building alterations and new equipment have enabled the teacher and the children to do so much more! We are positive that the 2010 challenge will assist us in doing the same for the exciting new crèche planned in 2011.
We have also managed to assist Michael and the other coaches with their entry fees to enter the 7 current Soccer teams within Pennyville into the Soweto Soccer League. All the teams are doing really well, and practicing hard!
We have met with Johannesburg Parks regarding their assistance in building proper soccer fields and a community park. These suggestions were well received and Calgro M3 have already pledged their support to do all the earthworks! Thanks so much!
Seeing the happy faces of the little ones makes this challenge every bit worth the effort. Thanks to everyone for your support thus far - IT IS HERE!
