Spring day celebrations

Gilbert and Gertrude.

To celebrate Spring, Southern Sun hosted a function at the Southern Sun Montecasino hotel on September 1, 2010.
Drinks and canapés were served on the deck and guest got to welcome Southern Sun’s resident Black Neck Swans Gilbert and Gertrude.

The swans were sponsored by Montecasino and the Bird Gardens, the bird parks will look after the swans and feed them twice a day.

Gilbert and Gertrude are Black Neck Swans which originate fro America, they are two years old and will have many happy years at the Southern Sun Montecasino hotel. Along with the swans five ducks were also donated by the Bird Gardens.

Guest enjoyed watching the swans and enjoying the first day of Spring outdoors in the sunshine.
