Armed reaction services chased after the suspects and alerted Douglasdale SAPS. Police officers immediately joined in the high speed chase down William Nicole in Fourways heading toward Diepsloot. The suspects opened fire and police and security fired back.

“The suspect’s vehicle crashed head on into minibus taxi, the suspects jumped out of the vehicle and started to flee on foot. Police chased after them and managed to arrest one suspect”, said Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Katlego Mogale.
